About

Dear Guests,

The Twisp River Suites is based on the vision of our beloved Joseph Marver (1943-2025), former owner and operator.

In 2011, after many years of visiting Twisp, Joe noticed a For Sale sign on the vacant lot next to what was then the Twisp River Pub. Sitting in the beer garden one evening, listening to local musicians play as the river rushed by, he began forming a vision. A whirlwind of a year later, having recruited local builders and artisans, his vision became reality. He had created a unique inn for visitors coming to the Valley; a home away from home where people could stay in comfort, be fed real food, and enjoy a completely personalized brand of hospitality. Joe was a natural host, learning each of his guests’ names and regaling them with songs, jokes, and stories.

Joe’s passion for music extended to the community when he opened up the lobby for regular “Music By the River” events, inviting local talent, and sometimes guests, to play together while he took the stage to sing everything from “Besame Mucho” to “What a Wonderful World”. He was all heart and did not know a stranger.

In honor of Joe, the staff of Twisp River Suites keeps his spirit and mission alive. When you walk through our door, you will be greeted with a smile and treated like family. In an age of no-contact hospitality, we aim to keep things as human as possible, connecting with our guests and making them feel seen, fed and attended to.

We thank you for choosing us and hope you are having a SUITE experience.

Warmly,
The TRS Team
